Stroll through the charming tree-lined streets of historic Riverside Avondale for fabulous dining, antique shopping, fun bars and trendy boutiques. Our favorite walkable neighborhoods and recommendations:
- Avondale: Josephine (our post-engagement spot, featured in the Save the Date video!), Biscotti's for a great brunch, or Orsay (all day happy hour on Saturdays)
- Five Points: Taqueria Cinco, BarTaco, Hawkers, Five Points Liquor Lounge, Brew
- Park & King: Pie95, Dart Bar, and all of the antique shops!
- Notable mentions: Murray Hill for more fun, eclectic bars and food; our favorite restaurant Othello in Springfield
The Riverside Arts Market is a weekly community market hosted in Historic Riverside on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m., rain or shine.
A few of our favorite place (close to the Marriott!) are:
- Drinks: The Volstead Speakeasy, Dos Gatos, Pour Taproom
- Food: Cowford Chophouse, Bellwether
San Marco is a historic, walkable neighborhood just south of Downtown Jacksonville, known for its charming Mediterranean Revival architecture, boutique shopping, art galleries, and some of the city’s best restaurants (we recommend Taverna, Oceana, or Town Hall).
Although a bit of a drive, the Beaches Town Center in Neptune/Atlantic beach is where we'd recommend going if you'd like to make a stop by the ocean and get a feel for Jacksonville's small-town beach scene.
